Afternoon Tea | Grand Hyatt Taipei

Today we are at the Grand Hyatt Taipei

…where afternoon tea is served at both the Lobby Lounge and up at Cha Lounge.

At Cha Lounge it’s done buffet-style with all the classic afternoon tea fixings from tea sandwiches to scones and sweets.

The best part is the ice cream station. Two housemade flavors offered daily, matcha and mango on my visit. It’s dipped in a selection of tempered chocolates and toppings. I kept it simple with matcha, dark chocolate, and toasted pistachios…

…just right with a variety of oolongs and pu’erhs. 

At the Lobby Lounge afternoon tea is done in the three-tier style…

…with macarons, profiteroles, coconut cupcakes, and pumpkin tarts on top.

Warm raisin scones, opera cakes, carrot cakes, and sachertortes. Jams and clotted cream were kept on the bottom tier alongside…

…savory housemade crackers and dips…

…and fresh fruit. Three cheers for lilikoi ^-^
