…it’s a native Hawaiian tisane, and a member of the nettle family. Drinking māmaki was common growing up in Hawaii (this batch came from a farm on Oahu), and it’s fascinating to see how māmaki is making it’s way into mainstream culture. I love it both hot and cold…the bold herbal notes are tamed with a subtle, natural sweetness.
Take the whole leaf…
…crush it up and steep in hot water. So simple, so good.
