OMG Welcome back, hope you had a good flight. I am really looking forward to reading your Hawaii posts! Hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday.Mae(in Ala Moana)
Welcome back! You just missed the rain! Two recessionista favorites:For Vietnamese food, be sure to eat at Bac Nam, on King St. after Pensacola. Kimmie makes the best spring rolls, prawns with sauce and rice, and pork and shrimp soup with flat noodles. If you like tonkatsu, go to Yamagen, across Stadium Park, right before Longs Drugs. Best in Honolulu. I’m only sharing this because recently, we were the only ones eating outside. They need customers in these tough times. Normally, tonkatsu is the first thing they sell out. Have fun, Kathy!

That is so unfair…do you know how long I have been craving an avocado smoothie? You wouldn’t know where I can get one in Hilo would you??

Ha ha! You have no idea how terrified Mitch is of this idea. He talked my ear off for, like, 15 minutes about avocado smoothies.
